This journey uncovered the devastating histories of the Japanese colonial era, delving into Korea's history beyond its borders. Encounters with crucial figures—descendants and survivors from that era—and the weight of physical evidence produced a remarkable journey driven by lessons merged into the threads of time. Each photograph captures the nature of this journey, a visual narrative documenting the process of embracing a crucial but often forgotten aspect of my homeland's history.
